About
Your local girl Friday in Development, with 20+ years experience as a non profit grant writer, director of development, grants compliance manager, event planner, outreach specialist, information manager, compliance professional and more!
I'm here to help human services non profits do important work in the Pacific Northwest. My background includes ten years of direct care nursing and quality monitoring for state-funded services for people with disabilities. I also have firsthand experience with housing instability, and most of my professional development work has been centered on the idea that everyone deserves a safe and affordable home.
My specific talent for storytelling, research and writing come from my lifelong love of reading. I earned my Master's in Library and Information Science in 2013, and I'm happy to be able to put my skills and love of language to good use. My job is to convey the impact of the work you do for the people you serve. I specialize in systems, interconnectedness and identification of unconventional funding prospects. My other passions include community building, inclusion, creating art, neuroscience and other medical research, spending time with my niece and nephews, and my two portly orange cats.
